Mobile Dental Clinic

Niagara’s Mobile Dental Clinic is a 33 foot RV with a dental clinic on board. The primary use of the mobile dental clinic is to travel throughout the region visiting schools and community locations providing children and youth (17 years of age and younger) with free preventive dental services. Dental services are provided by a registered dental hygienist and certified dental assistant. 2016 Niagara Wine Festival Pied Piper Parade

Show Us Your Homegrown Style! Come celebrate the “Home Grown in Niagara” Pied Piper Parade. Here is your chance to dress up in Niagara style in your own “HomeGrown” way. So many things are grown or were created here in Niagara, from fruits to veggies, donuts to zippers! We can’t wait to see your fabulous costumes in the Annual Pied Piper Parade! Afterwards, celebrate with refreshments from the Real Canadian Superstore in the Grapeland Family Activity Area. Prizes are awarded to the best themed costumes and includes an invitation to be special guests in our VIP seating area on Grande Parade day, Saturday, September 24th.

65th Annual Meridian Grande Parade

The Niagara Wine Festival is proud to present the 2016 Grande Parade with its theme “Homegrown Niagara”. This rain or shine event will happen on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11am, in the downtown core of the St. Catharines, Ontario, where we will welcome more than 70,000 spectators. The 2016 Niagara Wine Festival Grande Parade is organized and produced by the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival. Enjoy the colour and the pageantry of one of North America’s foremost street parades! The Meridian Grande Parade hosts an outstanding procession of marching bands, drum corps, community groups, majorettes, floats and amazing performances, attracting upwards of 100,000 spectators to the streets of downtown St. Catharines each year. Don’t forget to donate to the Community Care Annual Harvest Drive, collected during the Grande Parade. Last year you contributed over 8,000 lbs of food to fill the shelves at our local food bank!

Fire Prevention Week Family Fun

The fire chief invites residents to discuss smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms and fire safety during the annual Open House Sunday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Geneva Street Fire Station (64 Geneva St.). The event features family fun, including fire hall tours, contests and children’s activities, a free barbecue and more.

Library Lego- Create and build with the Library's lego! FREE. Join us on every odd Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Baby Time-Nurture a love of reading early with your baby. Bring a blanket and snuggle! Meet and socialize with new parents. Join us on Monday mornings at 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Tales for Twos and Threes-Enjoy stories, songs and finger plays with your two or three year old. Discover songs, stories and rhymes together on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Bedtime Stories- Listen to stories and enjoy activities as a family. Meet and socialize with parents and children in your community. Weekly on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Children's Movie Matinee- Join us for G-rated new films for children on the second Saturday of the month at 2:00 p.m.

Special Events- We offer free programs on PA days, during March Break, Christmas Break and the Summer Reading Club for children, tweens and teens. Throughout the year, we have special speakers visit the Library.

Therapy Tails- Practice reading skills with a friend who just listens quietly. Join us on the first Saturday of every month.  No registration required. No charge. All ages are welcome.

Grab & Go Backpacks!- No time to look around for children's books? Check out these new kids reading sets. A book, a CD and an activity booklet are all ready to go in a colourful backpack.

Chess- Learn while you play! Join us on every even Saturday of the month.
